The Grow Taller Diet – Foods That Add Inches to Your Height
Young or old, the right diet or additions to an already healthy diet can do wonders for someone trying to grow taller or reach his or her maximum height potential. Your body needs a balanced diet to function correctly, with the correct combination of nutrients for proper cell growth. Which of these nutrients are most used by the body to grow taller? In particular, a balanced diet contains recommended amounts of proteins, vitamins, minerals, fats, and carbohydrates, but for the purpose of natural height increase, the first three items play the biggest role.
Eggs, milk, fish, and legumes like beans, soybeans, alfalfa, lentils, and peas are best to add more of to your diet in order to get plenty of amino acids in proteins which in turn help in the body’s production of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) the primary building block for growth. A trick to eating beans, so that they produce less flatulence and stomach discomfort, is to soak them overnight before cooking. Beans contain stachyrose and raffinose which cannot be processed by the small intestine, and pass to the colon causing all sorts of stomach upset, but the overnight soak helps break these elements down for easier absorption.
As to minerals for growing taller, you may have guessed that calcium is king. Just as some foods are rich in this mineral, there are also calcium inhibitors, which, exactly as it sounds, can stunt growth. These no-no’s include coffee, refined sugar, alcohol, cigarettes, and too much salt and fat.
In order to add height and not girth, replace some of the carbohydrates like bread, pasta and rice with more servings of beans, fish, eggs and other protein-rich foods, and finish off the meal with milk or any other calcium providing drink.
This diet adjustment should kick your growth rate up a notch, but in order to maximize your potential to grow taller, you will also need to know the proper exercises and height-gain habits that go with it!
